The movie "Veera Telangana" is based on the history of Telangana. The director, R.Narayana Murthy who also acts as one of the characters in the film claims that story is based on the Telangana armed struggle that took place between the year 1944 and 51. The farmers took part in the armed struggle and waged a war to get independence from bonded labour as many of them remained martyrs. this movie in under the banner of Sneha Chitra Pictures.
