The movie "Osey Mallamma" is a dubbed version of the Hindi movie "Chingaari". Sushmita Sen plays the role of prostitute, who sells her body but not her soul. Anuj Sawhney is a postman, who along with letters delivers his heart to her. Mithun Chakraborty is a demon trapped in a man's body. He's less of a priest, more of a beast. Villagers worship as well as fear him. Wicked as wolf and poisonous as snake. He comes to know of the admirer of Sushmita and does not appreciate the post man's frequent visits. With patrons being intimidated by Mithun Chakraborty's instructions, no one dares go near that area, causing considerable anxiety and financial worries for the women there. The entire village awaits in dread as the deadline approaches for Sushmita's lover to marry her. The question remains, who is this mysterious admirer, and why does he want to marry a prostitute and go against the wishes of the all powerful and deadly Mithun Chakraborty.
