The movie "Manmadha Baanam" is a romantic comedy. It is the Telugu version of Tamil film "Manmadhan Ambu". Kamal Haasan plays the role of Major Raja Mannar. He is shortly called as Man. Madhavan is donning the role of Madhan. Hence, it is titled Manmadhan Banam. Trisha plays the role of an actress. Most of the shooting is done abroad and is set on a luxury cruise liner. Surya Sivakumar will make a guest appearance. The director claims it to be one of the costliest comedy movie ever made on South Indian screen. Madhavan is in deep love with Trisha. He decides to make her aware of his love but before that he wants to know whether even she loves him or not. So, to find out, he appoints a private spy, played by Kamal Haasan who follows Trisha who goes on a cruise for a film shooting. As Kamal becomes friends with Trisha to find everything about her, Kamal’s love Sangeetha misunderstands him. Then Madhavan clears the confusion and explains about the cause of Kamal following Trisha and all ends well. The movie is under the banner of Lakshmi Ganapathi Films.
