The movie "Gharana Mogudu" is an action movie along with other essential elements like a love story and adequate comedy. The lead role is played by Chiranjeevi (Raju) and Nagma (Uma Devi). Raju works in a shipyard in Visakhapatnam and helps his fellow workers. Unfortunately, his mother falls sick and he has to return to Hyderabad and is in search of a job. As fate would have it, he rescues a rich industrialist from an accident and ends up getting a job in his factory. Raju wins over the employees within no time and takes on the high handedness of Uma Devi and her management. This leads to constant conflict and Uma Devi decides to marry Raju so that he would not interfere anymore. However, Raju does not bend his knees before Uma Devi's harsh rules, even after marriage. Meanwhile the villains, in order to take revenge from Uma Devi for her attitude and business rivalry, plot against her. The rest of film deals with how Raju foils the schemes of villains as well as teaches Uma Devi to be humble.
