Event Description
Mother Express, a tribute to Mother Teresa from Indian Railways
Indian Railways is running an exhibition train named "Mother Express" to commemorate the birth centenary of Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa.
The Honorable Minister of Railways, Mamata Banerjee flagged off the exhibition train on the 26th of August ,2010 at Sealdah Station in Kolkata, West Bengal.
The Train will cover 83 stations across India and and its journey in Bihar, Eastern India on the 26th of February,2011.
The Train showcases life and philanthropic deed of this great soul.
The Mother Express aims to spreading the message of humanism and narrates the sacrifice of the Mother. It also creates awareness among the people about great social service done by Mother Teresa throughout her life.
Coach I: About Mother Teresa Birth, Education & Join in the Community of Nuns.
Coach II: Start & Spread of Missionaries of Charity.
Coach III: Last Years of Mother's Life, Death & Beatification.
Halt for about 10-18 hours.
