Kakinada, Jan 18th: Rich tributes were paid to veteran actor, founder-president of Telugu Desam Party and former chief minister late NT Rama Rao on the occasion of his 14th death anniversary on Monday. The NTR admirers garlanded his statue at the district party office here on Monday and paid rich tributes to the leader. Speaking on the occasion Yanamala Rama Krishnudu recollected the services done by the leader for the welfare of the middle class and weaker sections. TDP leaders Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa, Chikkala Rama Chandrarao and other participated.

The Telugu Desam state general secretary, Mr. Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary, felt the need to fight for a united Andhra to pay real tributes to the former chief minister NT Rama Rao who championed the cause of Telugu and upheld the Telugu pride. Taking part in a meeting to mark the death anniversary of the leader here on Monday, the TD senior leader was critical against the leaders who were favoring the formation of a separate Telangana state. Recalling his great services, he said that NTR fought for promotion of the interests of the backward and weaker sections.
