A 22-year-old man attempts murder of a girl and later attempted to commit suicide here on Friday. According to the Police, Malladi Krishnam Raju resident of Kondababu colony in Kakinada had slit the throat of Voleti Veeraveni (18) who belongs to same place with a blade and later attempted suicide with the same blade on Friday. Both have been shifted to Kakinada Government General Hospital immediately by neighbors and now they are in safe condition. During the investigation, Krishnam Raju went to Veeraveni’s house on Friday in the early morning hours when her parents went out and attempted this after a long discussion held between them. During police investigation, Krishnam raju said that “we both are in love from last 4 years but now she was getting to marry another person, so that I have done this”, while Veeraveni saying, “I don’t have any relationship with Krishnam raju”. Later, speaking with media persons, Kakinada DSP Mr. Lakshmi Narayana said that both statements are different and not seemed to correct, so that we have filed a case and investigating.
