Maoists to get top priority in jobs

Kakinada, Jan 17th: East Godavari district collector, Mr Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, said that the surrendered Maoists would be given first priority in providing employment under various welfare schemes. Reviewing the district progress with the heads of all departments at the Collectorate on Jan 17, the collector said that he would attend the all collector's meeting with the Chief Minister in Hyderabad on January 20 & 21. So that, the officials concerned should complete the pending projects and schemes, and prepare a progress report immediately.

While inquiring the progress of the employment schemes like Rajiv Udyoga Sri, the collector raised the Maoists' welfare and directed the officials concerned to ensure that the surrendered Maoists being given top priority in providing employment. He suggested taking the Maoists in either self employment or ITDA's contract works categories. The collector also directed that all the welfare hostels with Class X students as boarders should be arranged with power inverters in a view of public examinations ahead.
