Kakinada, Jan 16th: The East Godavari collector, Mr. Gopalkrishna Dwivedi, reviewed the housing activity under Indiramma in the district at the collectorate on Saturday with the housing department officials. Speaking on the occasion, the collector said that the process of housing to the tune of Rs 30,000 should be completed within the stipulated time (March 2010).
He directed the officials to speed up the process and provide bridge loans to the beneficiaries. The collector reminded the authorities that the process should be taken up immediately as the government had already released additional funds of Rs 20,000 each to the beneficiaries under this scheme. Mr. Dwivedi expressed his displeasure over the slow pace of distribution of scholarships to the eligible students in the district.
