This movie is made for 'Aadi' and not for entertainment.It is cliched and boring. You can wait for it to be telecast on TV. I am pretty sure about it.
The story of this film is as old as Telugu cinema is.It is utterly predictable, boring and makes for a painful experience.Anyone who watched ten Telugu movies can write a script that is far less predcitable than this. The comedy scenes in this film are forcibly introduced for the heck of it.They have no logic at all and are yawn inducing. The dialogue writer for this film certainly needs to take a walk and go for a mid career training in language skills. Take this for instance, 'Nippu Arpadaniki neelu vadali...Kaneelu Aarpadaniki Nippe Vadali'.People who can decipher the meaning of this dialogue are worth a reward. Yet another dialogue that is as old as hills is -' Prema Kosam Oka Desam Tho Yudham Aina Chestha'. The gravity defying fights are sure to put you off.The scene where Aadi chases a plane with his sword is a trademark Telugu movie scene with absolutely no logic, sense and brains. Isha looks much older than Aadi.Someone shorter and better looking girl could have done the movie better. We are still wondering if Jayasudha, Nagababu, Sindhu Thulani and other obscure charecters have anything to do with this film. Half of the movie's run time is gone in introducing each charecter and their importance to the story.This process tests your patience and makes you want to drink a cup of coffee.
Vijaya Bhaskar K. who is known to be a specialist in dishing out tender love stories has a good debutant on hand who like his father is endowed with a firm, clear and unique voice, dances and delivers the dialogues well. In addition to this he had showed tremendous ease in his work and is an absolute live wire, his energy is infectious. All he needed was a good script that would suit his age and physique and a narrative style that would hold scant or minimum novelty to hold the audiences' interest.
It seems as if Vijaya Bhaskar succumbed to pressure in launching Sai Kumar's son as a hero. What one could make out was that in an effort to show all his skills, talent in just one film, the director interspersed the love story with a parallel plot that had a skeletal screenplay. A petite college-going Aadi's first scene is a dance where he startles and shocks the viewers with his muscles. That he fights the terrorist and a boxer-villain for the girl he loves is entirely a separate morbid experience.
The dialogues eulogise the young newcomer..for instance one villain says, "Do we need a gun to kill a single man?" The reply from another goon is, "We can't kill him without a gun, he is equal to a single army."
Another ridiculous and disgusting line by a kid at a birthday party is directed at a granny. The kid says on blowing candles, "Avi aarchelopu adhe aripothundemo." Sindhu Tolani looks far more interesting as a sister-in-law than she ever looked as a heroine. The comedy track revolving Brahmanandam, Ali fails to elicit laughs.
The beginning of the film shows Aadi as a psycho, his character isn't etched well. The story is about rescuing the girl he loves from a villain, the latter intends to use her father for release of a terrorist. A police officer's daughter succumbing to blackmail is downright silly and unbelievable. The director should have confined the plot to a nice cute love story.
Prema Kavali becomes barely watchable on account of the hectic and confused mess. It suffers from an overdose of everything and that too in the wrong places. Music and cinematography is good. Isha Chawla plays a dumb woman, showing a range of emotions and she is quite a delight. Shafi plays a blackmailer but his part doesn't have sufficient depth. This is one of those films thrown together haphazardly by a director like Vijaya Bhaskar who really should know better.
Dont we have Many stereo type Love stories .. and why wouold we want to watch one more regualr mind cracking Monstrous Love Story ??? It seems that Toolyood decided that love stories are easy go on Telugu Audiences, which makes many like me think.. Andhra pradesh dont havee anything but Movies full of Crap ???? Just Sheer Power stunts and Item Numbers and HIP Hop dances makes people clap for any trash ???
May be Director want to say Love is Blind.. But Its proved that.. Audiences are not Blind.
