RAMCOSA was started in the early 1969 by several enthusiastic members and Dr.Ramakrishna Raju was elected to be the president. This was inaugurated by Dr.M.V.Krishna Rao the then director of medical education society. In 1975 Dr.T.V.Nagarjun was elected as a new president.
In November 1983 new executive committee was elected. Dr.M.Chandra Mouleswara Reddy as President and Dr.M.S.Rao as Secretary. The college silver jubilee was held on 12th March 1984. Sri N.T.Rama Rao the then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh laid foundation stone for the silver jubilee pylon and Dr.Vissa Ramachandra Rao ex-principal was the chief guest of the function.The general body on that day and decided to have permanent building for RAMCOSA.
